Strategy Journey Maps
The idea of the Strategy Journey (SJM) map concept, is that strategy development, and strategy execution, is a journey of development, insights, exploration, U-turns, and iteration.
As such, we think that treating it as a journey, and making it visual, can help with motivation, understanding, sharing and engagement. We also think that by making it a shared activity, the outcomes are likely to be richer and more comprehensive.
It is not necessary to create a strategy journey map; we do think however that by thinking of it as a journey, you will be rewarded and also be able to share with your teams, how you ‘got there’!
