70 Six Batteries Activity: Applying Critical Thinking and Problem Solving for Impact
Choose the two most important areas that are relevant to your change opportunity.

Which of the six Batteries do you think are most relevant that will create positive energy for your opportunity? Please choose the two most important to your change opportunity. You will get to work on the others later on.

Now that you have chosen your two Batteries, you will need to download the two relevant templates to complete your audit. You have seen these templates before in Topic 3 but you can download them below. Remember, only download the two templates that you will use for your audit.
Now it’s time to do the audit and get a score for each of the two batteries you have chosen.
Here’s what to do:
- Read each statement on the Battery chart.
- Then record your response to each statement. If you think that the battery is ‘fully charged’ for that statement, make your note [tick, circle, whatever] in on the battery in that column. If you think it is partly charged or little charged make the note on that battery.
When you have finished two templates look to see the patterns and you can start to make some observations about what these patterns and scores might mean.
Just so you know what to do here are some completed examples that might help you. These are only to show you what a partly finished audit might look like and if you’re wondering why there are so many dots? This particular audit was completed by a team rather than individuals!

Now that you have completed the two Batteries audit take some time to write down your observations and insights.
