Assessment Presentation Tips

For your benefit, here area a few housekeeping tips you might consider before you submit your papers.

Single spacing is always easier to read – however use your judgment and stick to your preference

Executive summaries (ES) are typically NOT required; however, they are nice!

• ES not included in the word count
• One page or less
• Details: Purpose and brief context; project research approach and brief details; Findings, Recommendations, Insights and/or Impact Statement

An effective ES is a signposting tool. Its most important function is to influence and persuade! To convince the reader to, at the very least, continue

Tables, charts, attachments, appendices, references etc are NOT included in the word count

• However, tables, charts, attachments, appendices, references etc are irrelevant if their purpose and key insights are omitted from the paper
