At the end of Module 6, you should be able to:

- Apply and interpret diagnostic tools that highlight ‘ways of working’ in teams.
- Understand and apply the concept of benefits realisation.
- Specify the outlines of a project management system and implement tools and processes to ‘get things done’.
- Explore the cultural context of feedback and reward systems.
- Reflect on the role of strategy in delivering public value.
Module 6 encourages you to keep in mind the Strategy Journey Map Checklist that you began to complete in Module 2. The importance of delivering public value, and in particular, public sector value, is a guiding and underlying purpose in this journey. Using the Checklist, you have developed an understanding of the power of strategy as one of the principles underpinning “Managing Operations for Outcomes”.
You have developed a clear understanding of internal and external environmental scanning and analysis. Along with this understanding, you have a set of tools that you can apply to sense check and diagnose, as you go! The Decision Framework section helps you to build structure and rigour into you and your team’s approaches, and the final section of the Checklist encourages you to continue to build your own repertoire of tools and techniques.
As you set out to complete your Workplace Project, this module helps you to build sustainability into your ‘Managing Operations for Outcomes’ mindset and tactics, and guides you into the future!
