Module 1 focused on the process of how to assess an organisation’s overall strategy. Strategy builds on the organisation’s mission and purpose, vision, and the value that it seeks to deliver.

The module encourages you to examine the organisation within its context, with its current and potential total set of organisational resources, and within its stated and implicit organisational reason for being. This implies taking a hard look at the organisation’s current situation. It involves gathering up-to-date information about the external and internal environment, and then applying systematic tools and approaches to make sense of these data. This module provides you with a series of tools and techniques that allow you to approach this task.

Module 2 covers the following topics:

  • Topic 1: Diagnosis and the ‘Strategy Journey Map’
  • Topic 2: Exploring the Organisation’s Operating Environment
  • Topic 3: Stakeholder and Client Analysis
  • Topic 4: Key Performance Indicators
  • Topic 5: Strategy Effectiveness
