As we move into this fifth module, we will explore some very practical ways in which you can manage and lead others for maximum performance, whilst supporting them to personally flourish.

In this module, we will look at effective approaches to managing others, including some principles for handling the inevitable challenges that arise. It is important to consider this module in the context of the foregoing material we have covered: self-awareness and emotional intelligence, diversity and conflict in groups, communication and influence, and trust and ethics.

In this module, we look at managing others by:

  • Identifying some key principles and practices for leading others
  • Working with strengths
  • Coaching
  • Performance conversations
  • Considering emerging approaches for managing and working in hybrid and virtual teams

As a starting point, we will review a couple of models from influential writers in this space.
