QUT’s Vacation Research Experience Scheme (VRES) provides an opportunity for undergraduate students interested in research to gain first-hand research experience in a variety of specialised disciplines and research environments. VRES students collaborate with our research experts, gain experience working on real-world research projects for a period of 6-10 weeks, and become part of a community of students that share collegiality, aspiration, and research passion. VRES is also a wonderful development opportunity that may assist undergraduate students to transition to further research training study such as Honours, Masters or PhD. A tangible outcome of VRES is the production of a digital poster and experience in presenting their research in a Showcase event that celebrates their achievements.
